HAGHIRIAN ART FOUNDATION RESIDENCY FOR EUROPEAN ARTISTS IN KYOTO
The Graz Artist-in-Residence PrThe Kyoto Artist-in-Residence Program offers a one-month residency in Kyoto, Japan, to promising European artists between the ages of 30 and 40 who are in the process of establishing their professional careers.
Initiated by the Haghirian Art Foundation, this residency is designed to support emerging contemporary artists from Europe by providing time, space, and cultural immersion in one of Japan’s most historically and artistically rich cities.
This is not a scholarship, but a professional development residency aimed at fostering international artistic exchange and offering meaningful exposure to the Japanese art scene.

Round-trip airfare between Europe and Kyoto, Japan

One-month residency including accommodation and studio space in central Kyoto

On-site orientation and personal support from the Foundation throughout the stay

Who Can Apply
